Shoppers Response to Cash Only Retailers

Here is a compilation of several posts from disgruntled customers on companies that do not accept credit cards, just another reason why it makes sense to accept debit and credit cards

Brent W. says:
It’s definitely irritating as I rarely carry cash for my own personal issues with, well, carrying a load of cash on me.  Unfortunately a few of my favorite places are cash only.

Dave “Cats Rule” N. says:
Maybe they have enough business and don’t care if they lose a handful of customers. when my kids went to a private school, they allowed you to make your tuition with a credit card.

Rico “You down with Brown?” T. says:
The busier the joint is, the more cash the owner can stuff into their mattress. Think about it…the place charges you for the bill, tax & maybe even tip.  By accepting cash, they don’t pay the merchant processing fee…

Martina “Martz” W. says:
Stores should think about customer convenience though. I can’t always carry a huge wad of cash in my pocket, you know!

  1. Why would we not make every attempt to taylor to as much market share as we can, specifically because it’s becoming so user friendly. sorry to use this Gieco “It’s so easy a caveman could do it”

  2. Great post! It’s nice to see what others are saying. It ‘s just so much easier to use a credit card to make purchases and when a merchant doesn’t accpet creidt cards as form of payment, I almost feel like they are letting me down and that they don’t want my business.
    Keep up the good posts!

  3. I was in the airport a traveling for the Holidays and wanted to buy a drink from the cafe. Can you believe as advanced as the technology is in an airport that this specific cafe, had one of the old sliders to accpet credit cards. At least they accepted it, but this seems like such an inconvenience for the company and what if they papers get lost in transaction?
I’m shocked at how many people are still so far behind.. thanks for the opportunity!
